Applications and sites marked "UMDNJ Community Access Only" may require logging in using your UMDNJ remote access account and/or additional registration with provider for use. ACC Pocket Guidelines - Free clinical practice support tool from the American College of Cardiology Foundation provides a portable reference tool for the clinician.
AIDSinfo HIV/AIDS Glossary - (Iphone and ITouch only) The AIDSinfo HIV/AIDS Glossary is a powerful tool that provides mobile access to over 850 pertinent HIV/AIDS glossary terms in both English and Spanish.
ACS (American Cancer Society Family of Journals) - Visiting http://acs.mwap.at/, if you are using an iPhone, will automatically redirect you to http://m.acs.mwap.at/, a mobile site of ACS journals optimized for view on an iPhone. For other mobile devices, you will be prompted to download a free ACS app to access instant and real time updates from the ACS journals, including upcoming events, and free content like the three news sections: "CancerScope", "CytoSource", and "Perspectives: Research in context.Archimedes: Medical Calculator - A free resource of over 70 of the most commonly used formulas in medical specialties.
CDC Mobile Ipad Application - (Ipad Only) Feature important health articles, popular journals, timely updates and access to social media to coincide with important health concerns and events throughout the year.
Chest Journal App - CHEST app is now available free to UMDNJ users through iTunes® or the App Store. Once downloaded, users can use the app to access full-text articles through our institutional subscription and wireless Internet connection.
DynaMed - is a clinical reference tool created by physicians for physicians and other health care professionals for use primiarily at the point of care. (UMDNJ community access only, UMDNJ users must obtain a DynaMed serial number AND register with SkyScape. Obtain a DynaMed serial number by either contacting the Library or emailing dynamedsupport@epnet.com from their UMDNJ email account, no other email addresses will be accepted. )
Epocrates Rx - Free version: drug monographs and formulary information, including dosing, contraindications, interactions, and adverse reactions.
Epocrates Essentials - Paid subscription version: Expanded drug and disease reference provides reliable clinical information at the point of care.
ePSS: Electronic Preventive Services Selector - Search and Browse for free the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommendations on your PDA or mobile device.
Google Mobile App - The free app enables users to search Google quickly using voice, pictures (Google Goggles), and location. It also links to Google's other applications so that users can easily navigate to them.
iRadiology - (Iphone and ITouch only) a compendium of over 500 unique images, as a learning tool for medical students and residents, iRadiology allows for quick review of classic radiology cases during rounds or clinical rotations. No internet connection required.
MedCalc - A free medical calculator, that gives easy access to complicated medical formulas, scores, scales and classifications.
Micromedex Drug Information - Paid and free versions of this app provides comprehensive drug information and drug interactions.
OMM Guide - (Iphone and Itouch only) Free medical resource intended for osteopathic medical students and medical professionals. Gives quick and easy access to osteopathic manipulative medicine assessment, techniques (OMT).
PNAS App - (IPhone and ITouch only) PNAS is the official journal of the US National Academy of Sciences, covering the biological, physical, and social sciences. The journal is published daily online in PNAS Early Edition and weekly in print. Usng this app, UMDNJ users can access the PNAS table of contents, article abstracts and full text articles in pdf directly from your mobile device.
PubMed On Tap - A free app for IPhone/iPod Touch for searching Pubmed.
Skyscape - A large distributor medical information tools for mobile devices. Some resouces are free and others have a cost or requre a paid subscription.

AccessMedicine - Essential portions of Access Medicine's content optimized for the unique size and speed constraints of mobile browsers. Selected content include Harrison's Online, Current Medical Diagnosis and Treatment, Clinician Pocket Reference, and others. Click HERE for more information. AIDSinfo Mobile - The latest federally approved HIV/AIDS medical practice guidelines, HIV treatment and prevention clinical trials, and other research information. There is also a version of AIDSinfo for PDA users.
Andrew Yee's Medical Eponyms Page - Free resource with short descriptions of more then 1700 common and obscure medical eponyms.
DailyMed - Provides high quality information about marketed drugs, including FDA labels (package inserts).
EBSCOhost Mobile - CINAHL, Academic Search Premier, and other medical resources optomized for mobile devices. (UMDNJ Community Access Only)
Essential Evidence Plus- Includes the POEMS (Patient Oriented Evidence that Matters) library, Cochrane Database abstracts, collections of clinical decision rules, diagnostic tests, history and physical exam maneuvers, and drug information, as well as ICD9 and E/M coding assistants. (UMDNJ community access only)
Medline Plus Mobile - Authoritative consumer health information from MedlinePlus.gov in a mobile-optimized Web site that includes summaries for over 800 diseases, conditions and wellness topics as well as the latest health news, an illustrated medical encyclopedia, and information on prescription and over-the-counter medications. Available via the Web browser of any mobile device.
MD Consult Mobile - Access to the books, journals, clinics and guidelines of MDConsult through web enabled smartphones. Iphone and ITouch users can also download the First Consult mobile app from the ITunes store. (UMDNJ community access only, users must have set up a free personal account with MD Consult from a UMDNJ computer before accessing MD Consult Mobile or installing the First Consult app.)
Nature - The suite of Nature journals licensed by the University Libraries are available in mobile-optimized versions for iPads, iPhones, Android devices, new Blackberry models and a range of tablets. When off campus, you will be asked to authenticate through our proxy server, just as you do with the web version of our electronic resources.
PubMed for mobile decives - Mobile optimized search interface for Pubmed. UMDNJ user may access full-text through this site by using link on this page. Other users may access the site through the public link. All users can access journal abstracts, search using PICO and search case reports only. All users can also try a new Beta version of PubMed Mobile.
Science and Science Translational Medicine - The online editions of Science and Science Translational Medicine are optimized for mobile devices. The mobile sites provide readers with the most-used features of the full website, and are compatible with all popular mobile devices. Mobile devices will automatically redirect to the mobile-friendly version of each site—which you can also view on any Internet browser by going to m.ScienceMag.org and m.STM.ScienceMag.org. Mobile devices operating on a cellular network will not be paired with a Site License. However, mobile devices connected to a wireless network affiliated with a Site License will have seamless full-text access to licensed content.
Unbound Medline - Another free mobile optimized search interface for Medline.
The Health Sciences Library at Stratford and the Robert Wood Johnson Medical Library in New Brunswick have mobile versions of their website.
