How do I Request an Interlibrary Loan?

Request an interlibrary loan from a database search:

From you search results list, click the FindIt@UMDNJ icon Findit. If the article is not available electronically, you will see two options. The first option is "Click to see if this item is available in print". Click on this link to see if the journal is available in print at our library.

If the article is not available in print, then click on the link that says TO REQUEST copy of this article. When you click this link, you will need to log in with your proxy access and then proceed with your order. Your PIN number is your proxy access password.

Request an interlibrary loan from a list of journal citations:

Before submitting an ILL form, check to make sure that the journal you are looking for is NOT available electronically or in print at our library. To check our electronic journal holdings, mouse over Full-Text Journals and Books and click on Electronic Journals.

Search for the journal title using the Browse E-journal feature or search by title.

To check for journals available in print, click on Catalog.

If we do not have the journal electronically or in print, you may proceed to request an interlibrary loan.

Mouse over RWJ Library Services and click on Forms and Publications.

You have two options for submitting your ILL request:

1) Click on Electronic Interlibrary Loan Request Form to have your request emailed to the library. Log in with your proxy access and proceed with your order. Your PIN number is your proxy access password.
2) Click on Interlibrary Loan Request Form to print out an ILL request form and fax it to the library.
