Request for Writing Center Tutor

The UMDNJ – Smith Library is running a free pilot program to support students’ writing needs. Sessions will be hosted in the library. Trained tutors will be available twelve (12) hours per week to assist students in their development as independent writers who are capable of responding to the demands of academic writing. Tutorial assistance is available for the following:

analyzing an assignment;
generating ideas for a paper;
reviewing/revising drafts;
improving grammar and usage;
and strengthening editing skills.

Any student currently enrolled in a course on the Newark campus is eligible for this service. Sessions are 40 minutes in length.

Following submission of this form, a tutor will contact you to schedule a session. Please arrive promptly at your scheduled time as availability of appointments is limited.
