  • Cochrane Library - This provides access to the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, and the Database of Abstracts of Reviews of Effects.
  • eMedicine - See the Table of Contents under "Surgery" for a list of Trauma topics.
  • MDConsult - provides searchable, full-text access to over 50 of the world's most important medical journals, a collection of over 40 reference books, more than 1000 clinical practice guidelines, and almost 3,500 customizable patient education handouts. It also includes full-text drug information.
  • MEDLINE (Ovid) Premier source for bibliographic and abstract coverage of the biomedical literature. Includes some full-text.
  • PubMed (NLM) PubMed, a service of the National Library of Medicine, provides access to over 11 million MEDLINE citations back to the mid-1960's and additional life science journals. PubMed includes links to many sites providing full text articles and other related resources.

  • DynaMed - A "Just-In-Time" Internet reference integrating evidence based medicine with practical information for clinical practice on more than 1,800 clinical topics.
  • ePocrates - suite of popular diagnostic, drug and treatment tools for PDAs as well as web-based access.
  • Essential Evidence Plus - point of care tool designed to offer "Patient-Oriented Evidence that Matters". Also includes access to 6 EBM databases, calculators, guidelines and quick reference tools.
  • handheldmed.com - applications and standard medical texts designed for use with PDAs.

  • National Trauma Data Bank™ (NTDB) - "Contains over one million records from 405 U.S. trauma centers...The information contained in the data bank has implications in many areas including epidemiology, injury control, research, education, acute care, and resource allocation."
