Dr. Salomon Silvera, Professor Emeritus, CMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School, Department of Radiology, sketched a series of faculty and Board of Trustee pen and ink portraits between 1969 and 1980. There are a total of 102 portraits, including duplicates. The collection is divided into two series:
Series A: Faculty Portraits
Series B: Board of Trustees Portraits
The series contains 29 portraits sketched by Dr. Salomon Silvera between 1969 and 1979. The portraits are of members of the faculty from the Seton Hall College of Medicine and Dentistry 1956-1965, New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry 1965-1970, and College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey 1970- 1979. They are arranged in alphabetical order and include the individual's school, department, academic title, and date of creation.
Provenance: Gift of Dr. Silvera and David Opdyke, PhD, 1980 and 1981. Francis P. Chinard, MD donated a duplicate set of faculty portraits in 1991.
